Ever since Monica was a little girl she always fantasized about moving to New York City and becoming a model. After graduating high school in a small town in upstate new york, there was no stopping her, she was determined to see out her dreams. After saving her very last dollar from waiting tables in restaurants all through her teens, she was ready to move to the big apple.
Upon her arrival in NYC, Monica's career took its start a few years later. Fear of not being accepted by agencies due to her height and curviness had a lot to do with her hesitation to seek out representation. One day she found an advertisement placed by Maxim Magazine for their annual Hometown Hotties contest. Not having any expectations of success, Monica decided to enter the contest. After many rounds of voting, she made it to top 100 in two different years. With the success and following that she gained from the hot 100's, she realized that modeling was more of a reality than just a dream.
With the very few photos she had, Monica finally built up the courage to meet with two agencies in Manhattan. That day she was accepted and signed by both on the spot. From there, Monica's career took a big turn by taking "selfies" of herself and posting them on Instagram. With instagram, she was able to connect and work with some of the biggest named photographers. Within one year, her fan base grew from 1,000 to now over 80k followers.
Monica has modeled for Maxim Magazine, hair, fitness and Nikon camera ads. She has also had spots in a NY Lottery commercial, Season 4 of Guy Code on MTV2, frequented as a guest bartender on Watch What Happens Live on the Bravo network, and has also made an appearance on Nick Lachey's morning show on Vh1.
Watch out for Monica in Chris Rock's upcoming new film to be released later in 2014.
